SEO gets treated like a mysterious black box, but the core of it is closer to good customer service than dark magic: make it obvious what you do, where you do it, and why someone should pick you — in language search engines and humans both understand.
Start with search intent, not keywords. Before worrying about specific phrases, think about what someone is actually trying to accomplish when they search. Someone typing "emergency plumber near me" wants a phone number fast; someone typing "how to unclog a drain" wants a guide, not a sales pitch. Match the page to the intent, and the right keywords tend to follow naturally.
Claim and complete your Google Business Profile. For any business that serves a physical area, this is often worth more than any single change to the website itself. Accurate hours, categories, photos, and a steady trickle of reviews directly influence whether you show up in local map results.
Fix the technical basics. Your site should load quickly, work on mobile, use HTTPS, and have a sitemap search engines can actually read. None of this is glamorous, but it's the floor — no amount of great content overcomes a site search engines struggle to crawl.
Write for the question, not the algorithm. A page that genuinely, clearly answers a real question your customers ask will usually outperform a page stuffed with keywords. Search engines have gotten good at telling the difference, and so have readers.
Be patient, but not passive. SEO is a compounding effort — a handful of solid pages published consistently over months will outperform a single burst of content. The businesses that win at this treat it as an ongoing habit, not a one-time project.
Our SEO service builds all of this into an ongoing plan, with monthly reporting so you can see exactly what's working.
